This is the reason why theres no cooking video this week. Were moving in a week and were busy doing all these renovations and packing and etc. I promise to have a new episode of the insanely sexy potato show as soon as possible in my new kitchen. I will also be totally absent from the internet all fathers day weekend because of the move and were having the internet plugged back in on monday so I may miss some videos from the people Im trying to support. I will do my best to catch up so I apologize in advance if you wonder where all my witty comments and tweets have gone!
We will remain in the gay village. Our new place is only a few minutes away from here but the street over there is much more quiet. Also, we wont be as close to all the bars so we will finally stop being bothered by people coming out at 3 am. Its really nice around here but seriously, people come around our building at all hours to either get drunk, shoot up, take a leak or even have a sexual encounter. Im more than tired of chasing away people invading our privacy. You would think theyd be ashamed and leave quickly when caught but NO! They argue, call me names and really dont seem to care that people live here.
Finding used syringes in the parking out back is a common thing, tour buses from artists who perform at the Olympia park in front of my place leaving their engines running for 16 hours straight and roadies yelling shit. That one time, I yelled at a guy who was taking a piss under my living room window like I was his mother and he smashed said window.
My landlord being a major A-hole, he tried to sue us for the cost of the window (700$ my ass!) plus more for emotionnal distress. Thats because it was october and we insisted that be replaced it before the night because its was gonna get cold in here and all this glass was actually dangerous. I had to lock the cats in the bathroom to make sure they dont hurt themselves! Anyway, he said his maintenance guy was taking care of his sick daughter and we caused him considerable pain by asking that ANYBODY come here to take care of what we considered an emergency. This story is only the tip of the iceberg of shit that was our relationship with this landlord from hell.
It would take at least 10 more blogs like this one to go around all the problems weve had here. A week from today its going to be all over and were hopeful that things will be much better in our new place. Yes, its more expensive than when we are right now and its completely justified. Wanna see it?!
