Bruschetta Recipe - The Insanely Sexy Potato Show

Chic italian apetizers that are ridiculously easy to make and wont empty your wallet! You wanna start with a nice fresh french baguette. White bread is the way to go. Ive tried to mix it around and believe me when I say multigrain or pumpernickel doesnt work well for this.

Then we move on to our star: the tomato! While its traditionnal to use italian plum tomatoes, almost any variety will do the job. If youre daring enough, add in some yellow cherry tomatoes in the mix or those heirlooms that we dont really know what to do with!

I always stronly encourage you to use fresh herbs but if you dont have them, dont sweat it! Dried oregano and basil come to life when heated in olive oil, wich we add to our concoction here.

As for the cheese you can use either parmesan or buffalo mozarella. Both ways seem to see traditionnal according to me research. You can go cheese-free too if youre lactose intolerant or just dont happen to have cheese in the fridge on that day.

List of ingredients:

1 french baguette
2 medium tomated
2 cloves of garlic
1 tsp each of dried basil and oregano
2 tbps extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
parmesan to taste
fresh parsley (optionnal)
