Date Squares - Easy and delicious

This is a great desert or snack and it goes well with coffee. Makes a 8 X 11 dish and the number of servings depends on the size you decide to cut for your servings. Its possible to use water instead of orange juice to cook the dattes. It just makes it a bit less sweet.  You can avoid the flour and just compensate it with more rolled oats, wich makes it even more hearthy. Feel free to give me requests and I might make into a video!  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 stick of butter
1/2 cup + 1 tbsp of brown sugar
1 cup of flour
2 cups of rolled oats
500g or about 1 lbs of dried dates
1 cup real orange juice (no orange kool aid!)
3 tbsp crushed walnut
non stick cooking spray
